I don't know if this has already been addressed, but when I login, I can't see any chat, general, guild, anything, in any of the frames.. it apparently is still being transmitted as my friends say they can see me type "test" constantly.. but I don't see anything. If i right click on the tabs, everything is unchecked with no colors at all everytime i login.
You might want to read over the last couple of pages in this topic. We've found multiple non-Prat causes for issues with losing chat. Laibcoms also outlined a process for resetting your saved variables and so on that can help you eliminate Prat as the cause of the issue.
That's the edit box. If you enable the Editbox module, you should be able to move it to the top. You might need to reload after enabling. Mine is working properly with that module enabled, so not sure why yours isn't. Not getting any errors or anything?
I was getting those too. I didn't come back and post this morning, but in order to get it working normally, I had to disable some of my other mods too - Mendeleev was one of them, can't remember the others right off. I can look more later. Basically, I was having the same problem whether I had Prat 3.0 on or not, so I started looking around at other addons.
My advice is to start looking at what you have that uses Ace2. Make sure they are updated, or start disabling and see which one is the problem.
(Might be time for a mod to split this into a 'if you're losing chat...' thread.)
If the Buttons "enable" is unchecked, the buttons disappear. But when it's rechecked, the buttons shows up at the middle of the chat display. But after a reload, it goes back to its default.
I am using r22.
This is an issue in r23 as well. If just the reminder button is shown, it's fine - shows up on the inside right of the chat frame. If all buttons are shown, the arrows are in the middle of the chat frame, and the reminder is stretched almost the entire width of the frame.
I don't have time to log in and make sure, but I think all you need to do is go into the PlayerNames module and turn off the brackets ([ and ] - I have no idea what they are called in German). Then you can go into ChannelNames and look at your custom channels. It should give you the option to set whatever you would like to display for you channelname, so you can use 5 instead of [5. hellokittyonline].
Here's my opinion of the barebones that should be loaded automatically in a clean install. More might be loaded, but this is what I think the bare minimum should be.
I'd skip loading experimentals on a clean install if it's a separate module. Give them a warning before they decide to start messing around with stuff. ;)
But you and Laibcoms are right. It makes more sense to put the two-column thing under timestamps if it's dealing with formatting the timestamps. But if it's still experimental, maybe put a warning when mousing over or by the option itself.
(Warning - This post is not fueled with a sufficient amount of caffeine.)
Finally got time to re-up and give this a try. I like the new prefs layout. The only issue I seem to be having involves the Buttons module. I don't see a way to set the buttons inside the frame. They insist on rendering outside the frame on the left-hand side. (And actually, the reminder button is the only one I am showing.)
