1. Ability to put items in the action bar that you normally couldn't. For example when you are farming mats...I currently use button forge so that I can see how many Elementium Ore I have farmed without opening my bags. I can place an Elementium Ore in a slot and see the count.
2. Make a bar popup on proc. Rift has this feature where a button will popup when an ability procs and after the button is pressed it disappears. An example of when this would be great is Pyroblast. I only use Pyroblast when it procs...so when pyroblast procs it could popup centered above my action bars and when the spell is cast it disappears (or if the timer were to run out it would disappear as well).
Just some thoughts on what could make an already great addon even better...keep up the good work!!!
Im no expert on wow API, addons, lua and so on and what can and cannot be done, but im pretty sure both of those are down right impossible to do.
I'm trying to set up the top left bar to swap between two bars based on what form I'm in, but it doesn't seem to want to let me put the same binds on both bars which was what I thought would be the main benefit of this feature to me.
Any way to get around this?
set the binding on the topleft bar, then whatever bar switches in gets those binds.
Ie if bar1 is your "top left" and bar2 is your "second form" bar.
bar1button1 is bound to "1", then when you swap bar2button1 becomes bar1button1 and gets the bind "1".
You don't need to set any binds at all on bar2 because basicly bar2 becomes bar1 when you change form.
Kerecha says "Those "additional bars" has never showed for me since installing bartender, thats why i asked. "
The bars I am talking about are enabled (if you are using the default Blizz UI) through the interface options you access by clicking the little computer icon. I think there is a separate topic for 'action bars' and you just enable them with a check box. They appear on the side of your screen.
When I went to the Bartender interface, they also showed up on the side. Until Kerecha told me that all I had to do was change the button ratio, I had no idea how to get them from the vertical to the horizontal. I think Bartender uses the Blizz bar default until you tell it otherwise.
But I think I'm good now :)
Thats just it, i have always had them checked, they disappeared and became "bartender" bars the moment i installed bartender thats why it sounded strange to ever see those with BT installed
I am trying to take the additional action bars that are placed on the right side, in a vertical position and move them to stack horizontally. I don't seem to be able to find a 'flip' or 'rotate' choice in the menu. Is there some other way to do this?
what "addiotional actionbars" ?
to "flip" any bartender bar just change the ratio between buttons and rows.
They're not faded they are there but not showing until the mouse hover over them.
The very bottom of them are showing just barely, and then when you hover the mouse over them it's like they rise up and show.
I love bartender4 but i have an ocd with things being flush across the board is there any possibility of a resized bag bar so all the bag icons are same size (including keyring) I know Dominos does that but Bartender is sooooo much better and could be near perfect with this little addition
I think (not sure) that is still on the ToDo-list.

Reverting to the 4.4.14 release solves the issue
I can't do the conflict testing untill after the raid, will try to post more then.
I'm going to be getting a new PC and I want to be able to get things rolling without a lot of fuss. I am doing the obvious like gathering all my bookmarks so they can be imported into my browser, backing up my documents, etc.
Is there an easy way to copy my Bartender settings over when I get it installed on my new machine?
Yeah, just take the saved variables from the WTF folder on old machine and copy to the same location on new machine, works the same for all addons.
Actually you can do that to the entire wow folder and not have to reinstall and stuff or for the entire UI just copy WTF and Interface from old machine (rar/zip and put on a USB stick or something for easy transfer if u can't just jack in the old HDD).
