I'll fill in those ambiguous translations tomorrow... if I get started on anything else right now I'll never get to bed, and it's waaaaay past my bedtime, according to the sun shining through my window.
I don't use CDB anymore, but I used to back in BC. :)
I filled in most of the Spanish translations for you. However, a few of the phrases were ambiguous (out of context, at least; I didn't install the addon to check the context) so I need clarification on what they mean before translating them:
L["BAR_PREVIEW_DURATION"] = "Preview duration"
Does this mean "preview the duration" (as in, show an example of how the duration will be displayed) or "duration of the preview" (as in, the preview will turn itself off after this amount of time)?
L["BAR_TIMER_DIRECTION"] = "Location"
I'm assuming this is "location of the timer text" but I wanted to double-check since the key says "DIRECTION".
Also, while I filled these in, you may want to switch to using Blizzard's own global strings for channel names, so you don't have to rely on translations:
Yeah, I'm not currently using CDB, but when I was, I'd have this problem every time my druid walked through an instance portal while stealthed; I'd come out the other side and have endless "Prowl ready!" messages.
I saw the same thing happen yesterday on my druid, but I thought nothing of it, assuming it was caused by a cooldown coming up as I was zoning out of an instance. However, later it happened again, on my shaman, in Black Temple, in the middle of the Shade of Akama encounter. I couldn't say whether or not I was casting or in GCD or coming off GCD when the cooldown came up. Either way, it continuously spammed me until I set announcement output to "None". Several hours later I set the output back to MSBT, and it was still going, although I'd used the same spell (I think it was Bloodlust) a dozen or so more times in the meantime. Reloading the UI seems to be the only way to stop it.
For spells I would suggest watching the UNIT_SPELLCAST_SUCEEDED event, not COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED. For items, I'm not sure how you would do that... try using some items and seeing if any combat log events are fired.
Well, I think the problem there is that although using a Thistle Tea will put your Healthstone on cooldown, and vice versa, the Thistle Tea has a 5m cooldown, while the Healthstone has a 2m cooldown.
This again goes back to my big issue with CDB's cooldown grouping. It would solve a lot of problems, I think, if CDB showed only the cooldown of the spell/item I actually used. Rather than "grouping" with a fixed icon to show for anything in the group, simply suppress the display of linked cooldowns. To use an example I posted some time ago, if I use Frost Shock, I only want to see the Frost Shock cooldowns; the cooldowns for Earth Shock and Flame Shock should simply be hidden.
Currently potions are even worse, as when I use a Super Mana Potion, I get three or four (depending on what other potions I'm carrying) icons with the same cooldown. If I use a Super Mana Potion, I just want to see a Super Mana Potion icon on cooldown. I don't want to see a Super Health Potion, a Major Rejuvenation Potion, and a Major Arcane Resistance Potion on the same cooldown too.
This would reduce confusion in cases like Buio's, be more intuitive in general by showing the cooldown of the thing I actually used instead of the cooldown of something that shares a cooldown with the thing I actually used, reduce UI clutter by not showing multiple cooldowns on the same timer, and require less maintenance on your part, Dodge, by not requiring you to keep a database of shared cooldowns. Please consider it!
I don't know what you're doing with LibSink-2.0, as I haven't looked through your code, but you're messing up every other Sink-enabled addon's configuration. See attached screenshot for a comparison of another addon's Sink output menu with and without CoolDownButtons enabled. The same thing happens to every addon that uses Sink.
Hi, I really like CDB and I'm actually satisfied with all the functions it has right now, there's only one thing I could possibly ask for. Add an option or a function of some sort that displays what skills are on diminishing returns. This could be a bit much since diminishing returns is different for skills in PvE and PvP but it would be very useful in PvP situations.
Diminishing returns are totally different from cooldowns, and are outside the scope of a cooldown tracking addon. There are several PvP-oriented addons that track diminishing returns; I suggest you look at one of them.
Rather than the current hard-coded groups in CDB, I'd really just like to see user-configurable groups. This would satisfy the people who want X grouping or Y grouping, as well as satisfy the people who (like me) simply want a "potion" group instead of the redundant breakdown into "health potions", "mana potions", "rejuv potions", "resist potions", etc. :P
I edited your post to condense your multi-page error spam into a scrolling code box. Please do this yourself in the future, or remove the addon list after verifying that the same error occurs with all other addons disabled.
... and at these sizes the distance is way too large.
So use the options to adjust the horizontal spacing and text offset?
While the scale option could be "smarter" in scaling everything together, you'd still need to manually adjust the icon spacing and text offset to account for the different sizes of skinned icons, and the different sizes of characters in custom fonts. Poppins tries to automate the process of adjusting spacing for different skins, and it's a pain in the ass; I'd much rather just use manual spacing controls.
I get the same error as Sangull; it occurs only with item/spell cooldowns merged, only when using trinkets (not other items), and prevents that trinket's cooldown from showing. I haven't quite figured out the logic, but it seems to not occur if I equip a trinket, watch the 30-second equip cooldown tick past, and then use the trinket. It does occur if I use a trinket that's equipped when I log in. It sometimes occurs when I use a trinket that's already been used once since being equipped, but not always.
Also, you may have some cooldown group texture paths wrong, as every time I use a potion, I get one icon and two blank squares instead of the "heal/mana, rejuv, resistance" icon trio I normally got. The icon that correctly appears is either rejuv or resistance, I'm not sure... both are a purple potion icon and I'm usually busy watching other things when using potions.
Currently when I use a potion of any kind, I get 2-5 (depending on what I have in inventory at the time) cooldown icons -- one for mana pots, one for health pots, one for rejuv pots, and so on and so forth. As all potions share the same cooldown, I only need to see one potion cooldown icon; preferably the icon of the potion I actually used.
Same goes for shaman shocks -- while the custom icon is a neat idea, I'd rather just see the icon of the shock I actually cast -- and anything else that shares a cooldown; just show me the icon of the thing I actually used, and hide anything else that came up on cooldown at the same time. Even if I have to manually set up "cooldown groups", I'd be happy.
