I mentioned this to Xin ages ago, and I believe the answer he gave me was "It cant be clicked on, because it has to be higher than the minimap"
At the time, I said "ok" and moved on, however, recently, I have had other thoughts, as another similar addon -does in fact- allow clickthru.. I wonder, however, if it would add much bloat to the code to make the frame(s) responsible for the icons "unclickable" and therefore pass-thru..
it seems when i enable gathermate i get graphical errors. ie: can't see the simon says lightning colors to complete the (daily) quest. also, the daily in nagrand where u see the red balls on the ground and u use ur goggles to check them out (or whatever). when i disable gathermate it usually fixes the problem. once i have it disabled all is good. if i enable it again said problems happen. i have the standalone ace3 addon and i guess gathermate comes with one as well. issues?
Gathermate only affects the world map and the minimap. I also use Gathermate, and have -never- had the problems you mention.

I get "You are not in a guild"x2 (just once for a node I "tap" but cant actually mine yet, just saving it's location for my chars that CAN mine it, and twice if I actually mine it) for my 1 or 2 "hideaway" chars, which are guildless alts for the sole purpose of grinding cash/mats anonymously.. (and double as mules for my mains)
Request, for the Import module.. monitor the guild and party addon channels for incoming gathers from gatherer and/or carto_xxxxx
Half my guild uses gatherer, and I like getting their nodes :)
On a side note, I do not want to use the full wowhead DB, because quite often I find that there are always a cluster of nodes off the map somewhere, where we obviously cant ever get to, and that just clutters up my map..
