Rabbit, could you describe to me a little what it is I should do with this event? I looked over !SurfaceControla nd I'm not really following what it is you think SCT needs to do =)
!SurfaceControl just controls the override setting in SharedMedia-1.0 (for the 'statusbar' list) and Surface-1.0, so that whatever name you try to :Fetch, it returns the texture you've configured in !SurfaceControl.
Of course, !SurfaceControl only handles statusbar for now, but I'm just thinking that perhaps ClearFont2 or something will want to do the same thing for fonts fetched from SharedMedia-1.0.
What your addon needs to do then is just register for the SetGlobal event and make sure it refreshes its fonts (or whatever) when it's fired.
SCT on the SVN is not yes ready for 2.1. I have made all the changes locally that are needed, but they are significant enough that I don't want to upload them to the SVN until 2.1 is live. If you want to fix that bug your self so you can use it on PTR, change the 2 places IsFeignDeath() is found to UnitIsFeignDeath("player")
Please upload them to the SVN, I want imba SCT changes! :)
But seriously, have you considered moving to Parser-3.0? It integrates better with the Ace2 framework, so the resulting code is a bit easier on the eye.
Also, there are some housecleaning changes that can be done to most of the SCT/SCTD Lua files, it would be nice if we had the ability to commit to them. However, I understand why you locked it and changed the wowace svn repo to be a release mirror, but that was some time ago, and here's asking you if maybe it's time to reconsider?

This doesn't work any more, grayhoof.
ZIP files are automatically updated every 20 minutes, this includes new externals and everything.
When a ZIP file has its externals updated, but the addon revision has not been bumped, a number is added behind the revision in the ZIP name, like "BanzaiAlert-r28525.6.zip" means there have been 6 updates to this addons externals since there was any checkin to the actual addon.
