ZealotOnAStick, there really is no need for huge amounts of custom events now. Between SCT and SCTD, just about everything should be covered. Custom events are primarily for those few things you want to tweak or change just a bit, but you should never need those huge lists that others have used in the past.
Grayhoof - this particular Priest has noticed that the Clearcast comes up on SCT, but he wanted to do something to make it, and only it, stand out really obviously. That's why I suggested a custom event.
If there's a better way to do that for just one specific message, that would work too. I just don't know what it might be.
Actually, no, I'm looking for some Priest stuff for one of the Quebecois priests in my guild who I've had some trouble explaining how the custom events work.
He's wanting something to make his Clearcast events much more apparent than they do currently in SCT, and I suggested he just set up a custom event for it, but kinda broke down on trying to explain how.
Ok, after finding the link to the official thread on the WoW forums "not found" and checking all 19 pages of this thread, and all 4 pages of comments on the mod's listing on WoWinterface, as well as Grayhoof's portal page there . . . I can't find what I'm looking for.
There used to be a huge long list of specific custom events to mark out individual spells/skills/etc., that Graguk or someone posted on the WoW Forums thread. Where can I find this now?
I've tried all the built-in options I can find, and I simply cannot seem to get Vampirism procs (the Plagueheart 2 piece set bonus "You shadowbolts have a chance to heal you for 270 to 330 on hit" proc effect) to pop up on SCT, and I really wish them to. I know they're happening, as Recap and SW_Stats pick them up, but I'd like to know when they happen.
Can someone help me with a custom event string for this?
I'll log in, turn on combat logging, and shoot something until i get a proc and then edit this post with the exact string in a bit.
Edit: Ok, it does seem to be capturing the Vampirism heals, but they're shoved in with all the other heals. Is it possible to make a custom string for this with a distinctive message and force it to display on the Message frame instead of Frame 2 (which is where I have my heals at)?
Here's the exact text strings for Vampirism:
Your Vampirism critically heals you for 468.
You cast Vampirism.
Your Vampirism heals you for 303.
You cast Vampirism.
