My husband is having this problem as well, using basically the default cowtip tooltip. I, on the other hand, am not having the problem when using a heavily customized tooltip. And ideas?
LibDogTag-3.0 seems to be contributing to the massive amount of mem usage too. It's getting quite ridiculous. A tooltip shouldnt need to use 100k/second of memory should it? Something is wrong somewhere
I'm confused by your use of the words "immediate fade" here, if it's a fade it' not immediate. There's immediate hide on mouse leaving the frame/unit/world object or there's fade over x sec when the mouse leaves the frame/unit/object.
sorry, i thought "immediate fade" and "immediate hide" were the same :p but whatever the case, im lookin for a tooltip mod that will immediately show whatever im hovering. if i move cursor to a player corpse, tip pops up on cursor. when i move cursor off corpse, the tip disappears immediately, just like how tinytip did it. what i'm experiencing now though is that the tooltip sticks to the cursor even after i move off the corpse (or mailbox, or apexis emanations color nodes or any number of other things) even though i have the hide options set to immediate.
The tooltip immediately disappearing is the default blizzard behavior, I haven't seen another tooltip mod get fading working on those tips properly. Which tooltip mod are you referring to?
TinyTip. the latest versions of it are kinda buggy in a few situations, but never have a problem with the immediate fade function.
and, if immediate hide is the default blizz behavior, i think the tooltip mod would have no problems just using the default behavior right?
the way ive been testing immediate fade or immediate hide is by going to ogrila and doing the apexis emanations daily quest. if you go fast, you can have the tooltip say one color even though youre hovering the mouse over another color node. (i have all tooltips anchored to cursor if this makes a difference).
when mousing over my party/raid frames, i'd like to see info about where the person is - zone/area-wise. with tinytip, i can mouse over people and see where they are, but i can't find any option for this in cowtip.
hover somethign that's gonna die, kill it, and the tooltip doesn't disappear. you can move the cursor all around, away from teh corpse/area and the tip is still shown. it only leaves if you mouse over something else (object, mob, button, etc) and then mouse away from it.
