I'm unclear on the use of ? and ! throughout, though. Could those be replaced by simple English coding or do they have a certain function? I tried searching the in-game help for "? !", but it didn't return much and I felt rather silly with such a ridiculous search string. =)
I have a question on the guild tagging. I tried this, and to my delight it worked. However, I did not care so much for the <>s, so I removed it. In addition, I tried to add the guild rank to the tag, to the effect of:
[Guild = Guild(unit="player") ? (Guildrank " of " Guild):Fuchsia ! (Guildrank " of " Guild):Green]
That's all well and good, but if the target isn't in a guild, I just get a line of " of ", and it's not very appealing. Is there any way to do a logic check to see if the character is in a guild?
[Guild = Guild(unit="player") ? (Guildrank " of " Guild):Fuchsia ! (if Guild then Guildrank " of " Guild):Green]
I am looking for a nice setup from one of you guys that i can copy into my tooltips. Be kind and list them out for me if you could. And if Antiarc is there, please show me yours it was the best one i have seen, but when 2.3 came out it of course is not working anymore.
I was just wondering about Classficiation. I want to have it like if classification contains 'Boss' then Boss should be colored red or if it contains 'Elite', then elite should be yellow. I have found the code for it but I just don't know how to link them together ? its probably something very simple im missing :)
[If Classification:Contains("Boss") then "Boss":Red end]
[If Classification:Contains("Elite") then "Elite":Yellow end]
First, I want to say this is a great addon and I really do appreciate the work you've put into making it what it is.
I am a man who knows just enough to get his UI looking to way he wants, but has no knowledge regarding the code that makes things happen the way they do.
Since the 2.4 patch I have been unable to view players talents when I mouseover them. I do not know what to type in or even where to type it in.
I attempted to plug in some 'code' that a previous poster listed, but it was a failure. I don't know if you're suppose to add code from the Cowtip menu while ingame or if there is a file in the Cowtip folder that I must alter.
If you can help me I really would appreciate it.
you cant see that anymore for non-party players afaik
I've got my CowTip looking pretty much the way I want it, but as I've been playing a couple of instances have come up that I don't know the tags for, looking for a little help:
1) If the unit is a pet, display whose pet it is (Ex. "John's Pet"), and maybe even if it's Happy/Content (Ex. "John's Pet - Happy")
2) For Friendly NPCs, I seem to have wiped out the ... well, I'm not sure what the 'name' of it is, but it's the line of text that explains who/what they are (Ex. "Leatherworking Trainer", "Banker", "Fungus Vendor")
Thanks for your help,
use [guild] should work for both cases, pet happiness I dont think will show up for other players pets
Hi I need some help XP I want that the tooltip Display the Class color only w/ Players (eg Rogue,Priest,etc) and the Hostily color only mobs, I been trying to find a way to this w/ dogtag but I cant make it work any know how to this ?
it will show the hostilecolor of all non players, will show enemy players as yellow if they got PvP on, Red if they are PvP and self is PvP, yellow if only self is PvP, else it will show their classcolor. friendly players will be shown in classcolor
