PS: At least jWoWUpdater doesn't delete the embedded version of LibAboutPanel inside the libs folder, so instead of downloading it from here, the users can just move that folder out into the main Addons folder and load it that way.
It appears that WAU did not delete the lib itself either, but I'm pretty sure it did stomp embeds.xml just as you described.
If it's open, it'll close it (Feature), and if it's closed it'll do a full scan opposed to just showing the panel.
Yeah, I know; it's kind of annoying because it means having to click the scan button twice to do a re-scan, and it's also kind of redundant because there's an X button on the ARL frame already to close it.
Also, it would be nice if the plugins->scan button would just cause a re-scan if ARL's frame is already visible, rather than closing the frame, since ARL's frame has a close button of its own.
As for alt tracking, I kind of think that using a second addon for it would be redundant, but at the same time I guess half the point is for ARL to both show what you *don't* have and to show where you can get it versus showing what you *do* have. I guess a separate addon for tracking only recipes would be nice.
Also, clicking on vendors etc. to create TomTom waypoints to them would be awesome.
(oops, took to long to edit my post, so i moved it to a new one)
I just tried using ARL again and I still find it hard to use:
1. I don't like that I have to go into the Ace3Config menu to change filter settings and do scans, mostly because there is no button on the ARL frame to open that menu. In fact, most of ARL's options really belong as some kind of buttons on the ARL frame rather than a config menu.
2. I'd also like to have the ARL menu open automatically when my lilsparky Skillet tradeskill frame opens instead of using a non-intuitive plugins->scan skills button (which I think doesn't even actually cause ARL to do a scan, but instead just shows the frame?).
3. It also ought to be able to apply filter settings on-the-fly instead of requiring a rescan, especially considering the whole having to open a menu in order to scan thing.
4. It would be really nice to be able to see info about what skills my alts know or don't know. I guess maybe that's beyond the intended scope of ARL, which isn't a problem but probably means it's not really what I'm looking for in a recipe list addon I guess :)
Why are you distributing a required lib separately? :(
Just for reference, here's the error:
