#show [nomod]Naaru Ration;[mod:shift/ctrl/alt]Conjured Manna Biscuit
/use [nomod]Naaru Ration; [mod]Conjured Manna Biscuit
I'm afraid this macro acted exactly the same. It's probably a local error then. Now I have a workaround in mind, but it didn't really work when I tried it last night. What I would like to do is to make my [modifier] macros ignore my "alt" smashing and only react on ctrl/shift key-presses. I thought this macro would do the trick, but when I push alt it just shows a red question mark, no matter if the item is present or not. Shift/Ctrl shows the correct item. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
/use [nomod]Naaru Ration; [mod:shift/ctrl]Conjured Manna Biscuit
Well, if you're not comfortable editing Lua, you should probably steer clear of oUF, although it's fairly simple and there are a half dozen or so premade layouts floating around on here and wowinterface. ag_UnitFrames is a bit more "newb friendly" (no offense) although I don't think it has much if any in-game layout configuration either. Not really sure what else is available. X-Perl, maybe, although its monstrously ugly.
I'd beg for the abolishment of Rock, too, as IB is now the only addon I have that uses it, but I'm afraid that's a lost cause.
None taken :)
I've looked at both ag_UnitFrames and X-perl (ugly as hell yeah) and none of them are customizible enough for my taste (haven't looked at the ace3 version of aguf). (JJ, care to make a new Unitframes addon, now that ButtonFacade is nearing completion?) :D
Joke aside I think I might have to dedicate an obscene ammount of hours to go through oUF and see if I can make it work to my liking.
Too bad about Pitbull being in such bad shape though, love the features, but not at the price of significant performance issues. Perl Classic might also be a possibility, just not sure I can live with the look.
@ Codepoet: I'll give it a go when I come home from work tonight, if it works you're my hero!
JJ, is there any way you could make DogTag optional? Now that I've finally made the switch from big blubbery PitBull to lean clean oUF, InfiniBar is the only thing in my UI using DogTag. This wouldn't be an issue, except that DogTag is simply enormous, occupying more memory (both static and increasing) than all but a few large addons, and is my #3 CPU user. DogTag-Unit is the #2 CPU user, although it uses slightly less memory. :(
I'd like to second this. Dogtags are having some heavy performance problems and I'm affected by this constantly. I however have come to love the green border on buffs I currently have on, I can live without it, but to keep it and get rid of Dogtags for InfiniBar would increase my overall performance I think.
Then I only need to get a worthy replacement for Pitbull, only problem is I don't know jack about .lua editing.
A month or so ago I wrote regarding macro's sometimes hung in the modified state after an alt-tab. I use the following macro:
/use [nomodifier]Naaru Ration; [modifier] Conjured Manna Biscuit
What basicly happen most of the time is I alt-tab to some other application running and when I alt-tab back in I see a "?" on my bar (unless I have the Biscuits in my Inventory).
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this? Could it be related to the #showtooltip line I have added? Now that I think of it I think it's redundant.
item count problems, experienced this after latest version, no other addons running, wtf folder wiped. i set up a 4 button bar, no item count showed up after dragging mana pots onto 4th button. after /reload it states 40 correctly, but all the other empty buttons show the same 40. dragged other pots onto the rest of the buttons, tried reload, no update. switched content of 3rd and 4th button, now both counters show 16, whereas they should read 40 and 16 respectively.
Confirmed. [ItemCount] doesn't work here either. r-71242
I thought I had this fixed earlier, but just to be sure, grab Revision 69688. Let me know if you still get errors.
I've also done some extra work on Cooldowns in 69688, but I still need to test them out.
I got it working without errors, but the buttons are very dark as if some dark filter is on top, quite strange tbh.
Another question btw, what's the parent syntax for IB2? I'd like to parent some panels to IB, so I don't have to think about moving them all the time, but I can't figure out what the parent name is.
If the name of the frame is Bar4_Visible1 and I try the normal approach I only get the buttons parent, like "IBBar4_Visible1_41Secure". I tried "IBBar4_Visible1", but that doesn't seem to work.
I'm using the preset for possess_pet_bar, but it has a problem with my shadowfiend (MC works fine). Everytime I cast it the bar doesn't show and I get a bunch of errors in my bugsack (at least 60 in 2 sec or so), I've attached them in a .rtf file so that they don't fill up the entire screen :)
Hope you can make anything of them and perhaps get a fix going.
Regarding performance IB still takes more juicy out of my computer than BT3. The small lag spikes have almost entirely disappeared, but I still favour performance over looks, so I'd like to see some options to make IB as minimal of a performance-hugger as possible.
I've decided to use a mix of BT3 and Infinitybar-2.0 for the time being. I simply can't get Infinitybar to work properly with pets/possess bars, so therefore i'm keeping BT3 enabled with just that and let IB handle the rest. Works well for me.
Okay, Revision 68463 has my new optimization changes. It should (cross fingers) function just as well as before, but now shouldn't use near as much CPU time.
Sweet. I'll let you know what effect it's having. Just tested possesions again. It seems to work as it should now. Pet still can't click on the attack key or aggressive mode. These are with your presets.
Okay, test this for me next time you raid. First backup your InfiniBar-2.0.lua in your SavedVariables directory. Then clear out all text subs and highlight text. Set them all to nothing. Then post here with results.
Also, had you raided before with InfiniBar2? And did you have lag spikes then too, or was it all good? If this is due to a recent change I'd like to figure out what caused it so I can fix it.
Im almost sure it's a recent change. I've been to BT before on that toon and didn't notice anything like this.
Just tested the no dogtags in AV by the way. But in battlegrounds the lag doesn't appear, so I can't tell you if it works or not im afraid.
