I was just coming to report the persistent large buffs problem also. Happens every time UI gets reloaded, whether from starting the game from scratch, or from a manual /reloadui.
My elite icon does not show up when I have an elite selected, but it does on my TargetInfo field. It also does not show up for my focus. I tried deleting those two icons and remaking them but it didn't work.
Also requesting the small timers below auras/buffs/debuffs. There is currently no good addon for displaying BOTH player and target auras, so I would really love to simply use DaHUD for that.
So any artists out there that can make borders for the arced bars?
Hello users. Since I never found any examples or anything regarding inserting dogtag code into a new custom layout (or even existing ones that don't come with any target info) I decided to post my code, and even tho it works perfectly for me, see if Benumbed or any users can show what I did wrong or at leat make it more efficient.
This is the name field for the target and it colors the mob name by hostility if its a mob that can attack, otherwise it just gives the name in white with the name of the realm the target is in (if different than the one the player is in). Also includes AFK and DND timers on this line. All of this is in a bold outline so it can be read clearly against any backdrop.
Target Name Line:
[if CanAttack then
end] [(AFK or DND):Angle:Yellow]
This is the field for all the general target info. I don't like info text that says "Lvl 60 Warlock Human", because to me that is backwards. It should be "lvl 60 Human Warlock", so thats how I have it here. It starts with the target's level colored by difficulty as usual, then the mob's classification (boss, elite, etc.), then the mob's race if it is isn't a creature (or the creature type if it is a creature), then the mob's class colored by class. The mob's race (or creature type) is also colored by hostility just as the target name line.
Target Info Line:
[Outline Level:DifficultyColor] [Outline Classification] [Outline SmartRace:HostileColor] [(if (IsPlayer or (IsEnemy and not IsPet)) then
This next line (there are 3 text fields) is for player guild (colored green), unless its a pet or minion, then it shows the owner and the type of pet instead.
Got it open and looking for stuff to copy - problem is everything is kinda separated out...hard for me to pick up what i need and don't need.
Like I sthought i succesfully had a TargetName field completed with hostilitycolor, but then i noticed on screen that i was targeting myself and there was a AFK status with the time that I'd never knew was there. Its stuff like that that I'm missing and that I want to be there.
Yeah, I don't have any problem with that part. What I'm doing is setting 'D'arc fancy' as the style, then going down and creating some fields - one for unitname, one for unitguild, one for LvlRaceClass - that type of thing. I can do stuff like [SmartRace] and thats fine, but your default DaHUD target info is infinitely better than what i can create myself. For instance when i make my own target info fieds, it doesnt know whats a pet and what isn't. therefore it shows all pets and minions as 'paladins'. Thats just one example of how the fields i create are lacking the info that i get when using default settings.
I'll try looking in the text.lua but i seem to recall last time some1 told be this i didnt have a program on my computer to open lua files.
Kay maybe I need to be clearer. If you use DaHUDs defaults, there is target information on the HUD. If you use d'arc bars, there is no target information. I went to default settings to see if I could simply copy the target info dogtag code and enter it into my own target info field, but DaHUD doesn't show you the code for whats already there for editing purposes. So I need the code thats used ALREADY in DaHUD, in the default configuration, for use in the d'arc configurations.
Um, thats not what i asked. "/dogtag" is nothing but a reference to dogtag commands and stuff that I can't make heads or tails of. I asked for a piece of code to paste into DaHUD that would give me target information.
I can't believe there is no information in this thread about dogtag codes. Can someone post something for me to paste into a custom target tag? I need something that acts just like the Blizz stuff, I.E. it distinguishes between friend or foe, master and pet, shows class, name, creature type, elite or not, level, etc., etc. Something like the other huds come with as a default but with more info.
When I change most menu options, I constantly get errors formatted like this:
Interface\AddOns\DHUD2\core.lua:124: attempt to call method 'setFonts' (a nil value)
Happens anytime I'm messing with an option that does anything to the fonts (resizing, changing style, etc.).
Okay - this actually happens all the time, the error simply changes according to what option I'm changing. An example is when I try to change alpha values the error changes from a 'setFonts' error to a 'setAlpha' error.
Also, when I change values with the mouse wheel, it affects all other values in that category and screws them all up. In this case I changed one of the alpha values, and then I checked the rest of them and they were all different.
I don't know if its supposed to do this or not, but every time I change something, I have to do a reload to see the results - very annoying.
