I tried Poppins with ButtonFacade and it threw so many errors...
But the author will fix that. And maybe in the future it will fully replace Numen.
I have tried to write a module for ButtonFacade and I didn't even manage to skin the buttons. Back with cyCircled it showed me at least something. Though the cyCircled skin has the issues Synthe mentioned.
And another feature Poppins is missing is the ability to destroy totems :P
Just found out about this addon, and have some suggestions/requests!
Any chance we can get an option to invert this behaviour?
Could you add a border by default, like the ones buttons in the default UI has?
Separate scaling for totems in the popup menu to easily distinguish the main bar?
As someone mentioned, numeric timers in addition to the visual ones would be nice.
Why would you always cast rank 1 of every totem? I don't see the use in this.
If I find the time I will add some borders.

I'm confused, earlier in this thread DestroyTotem functionality was discussed.. has this since been discarded? Or am I missing some way to enable it in the current version?
I tried to implement this but it didn't work out. I even asked here on the forums but no could help me with the state buttons wich are used for the bar.

This is pretty much what i have been looking for since I started a shammy, though I had to use Totemus for it's nice timers :).
The only thing i would like to ask is about the wep buffs. Is there currently a way to select which wep to apply the buff to? LIke right click for OH and left click for MH? Or is there a modifier, since Numen remembers the clicks :)
There is no way to cast a weapon buff directly on a weapon. You always cast the first spell on your first weapon and the second one on your second weapon.

Aviana, I've got a patch that replaces all Babble-Spell references with GetSpellInfo. Do you mind if I commit it, or shall I post it here for your perusal?
If you have tested this and it works please commit :D
Those bars in the screenshot definetly don't belong to numen. Also you can cast totems from numen without them going into the main bar by shift clicking them. And as for the blue box I did notice this on the testrealm already and fixed it. But somehow I didn't include this in the version I uploaded. *punishes himself with a nine tailed whip* I will fix this now.
Hey, I was trying the new version (Numen-r62644.5) and noticed I had two fire options under the "affinity order" and no Earth option. I can't see the Earth option on the bars either (maybe that's obvious), but love the good work, thanks for updating this. My fav mod thus far!
Did you upgrade from an older version? If so please delete your old config in the SavedVariables folder.
First thing: I shouldn't promise any feature whatsoever. It turned out that there is no way (I or anybody I asked knows of) to make the main buttons destroy the totem of the assotiated totem line. If you want that make a macro. They syntax is simple:
x is a number from 1 to 4:
1 = fire
2 = earth
3 = water
4 = air
The totem timer function was easy to recode (took about 5 minutes). The new timer will ALWAYS recognize when your totem is destroyed. When 2.4 hits live I'll upload to svn and you can download from files.wowace.com or use any autoupdater.

i toggle skin on popup in cyCircled, but stay in defaut layout.
works well for toggle skin on main.
1. Switch your settings in CyCircled as you like
2. reload UI
3. ? ? ? ?
I'm not dead yet. I just hadn't the time to code on the mod plus Blizzard totally screwed up the test servers in europe. Anyways my shaman seems to be on the servers now and I will look into using some of the new api changes for totem handling. I did promise some new totem timers for 2.4 didn't I? :D (I'm glad Blizz is saving me lots of work) So here is the deal:
in the next Numen release for patch 2.4...
- the timers will use the api functions to determine the time left on your totems
- You will be able to right click the affinity buttons (Earth,fire, etc...) to destroy that specific totem (of course there will be keybindings)
- There will be enough cheese for the w(h)ine
I don't know when this will be finished so don't ask for a release until 2.4 hits the live servers. This is mostly because I personally hate one thing beeing coded in twice for those 1% of the people who use addons on test realm.
Blizzard killed the european test servers again and i can't log in. If this goes on I doubt there will be a finished version with the start of 2.4 ...
Ok if I get this right some people want a totem stomping function to drop all four totems wich are currently in the numen bar. While others are concerned about the performance. I gues that the ability to bind a button wich iterates through the four totems will be the best. There will be no macro since this would require more code to edit the macro every time a totem is swapped into the main bar. The method would consist of a simple counter that indicates which totem is next to be dropped. It doesn't matter where it starts. You press your keybinding four times an all for totems are there. I think this should satisfy both sides.
First I would like to explain in wich direction the mod should be developing from my point of view. The reason I installed this mod quite some months ago was to save space on my action bars. I simply didn't need all totems blocking my view. This makes me think this is a mod for minimalists who don't want too much on their screen. Therefore I won't implement too much extra features. Only the things that save up space somewhere should go into this mod.
So here is what I think about the suggestions that were made:
-I will do implement an option to turn off the weapon buff section. But I won't do an option to disable a specific affinity since this would defeat the purpose of a totem bar.
- There are other simple ways to track your Reincarnate cooldown like Fubar_AnkhTimerFu. So you won't see this.
- A timer for Shields and their charges won't be done because your standard buff display handles this quite nicely :P and there are several mods out there wich announce fading buffs.
- I won't do anything regarding a Earth Shield charge tracker unless 2.4 hits the PTRs since this would require combat log handling which will change a lot in that patch.
- No option to "undock and move the Weapon buffs and Shields". This is a bar and not some "draggable buttons for your shaman needs". Sry. And this would mean i had to recode nearly the whole mod. Not going to happen.
- At the moment I would say there is no way to change the flash of the pulse timers since this is some blizzard thingy. But I will will look into that and report back.
Thanks for the positive response. The shield buttons seems to be a good idea. I will upload that.
For those who have problems after updating please try deleting your Numen.lua in the SavedVariables folder first. This should solve most of the problems.
For the "Range Check" I will look into adding a number that will be displayed on for example the water button that indicates how many players are currently affected by that totem. This is a bigger change so don't expect it too soon.
