Ploof, thanks. Yes, simple, but I can't stand playing without it now. :)
Varuna, are you sure you unzipped everything? AceHook-2.0 is included, so it shouldn't be missing. You should see an \AddOns\Coins\Libs\AceHook-2.0 directory. If it's there, trying disabling BugSack. Maybe there's something wrong in it's version of AceLibrary.
Sorry about that, txamethyst. I forgot to include AceHook-2.0 in my Libs folder. My guess as to why it breaks on some characters is probably because you have different profiles loading or not loading various addons. When Coins works, that's probably because another addon was loading AceHook-2.0 and "fixing" Coins.
rsmozang, yes, that's one I want to update. It'll be some time, though, just because of the GUI to replace the coin pickup frame. I need to use AceGUI2 or design my own frames until that library's ready.
Lewzephyr, I'm using Abacus for the colorization. So we either need to bug ckknight to add that as an option somehow, or I need to write my own colorization for this case. Either way, it can be done. :)
Thanks, Kaelten. I just had to play with Ace2. This seemed like a good place to start.
Btw, m0j0, I was going to mention that I did use PProvost's excellent tutorial in redeveloping Coins. I also relied heavily on the AceOptions documentation for constructing my chat commands. Plus I've been browsing the API docs for the last few days. So it's all good, helpful stuff. Take some time to read around, then grab PProvost's template in the tutorial and start tinkering. That should get you well on your way.
I wanted a simple addon to use to play with Ace2, so I dusted off my old Ace1 demonstration addon Coins. What is it? Just a dumb little addon that displays text messages when you gain or lose money. It will also print summaries, say after you pull all the money out of your mailbox or sell all your junk to a merchant.
This relies on Abacus-2.0 for cash colorization. I've attached the zip here for now. I don't expect much use out of this. Mainly I'd like feedback from other devs to point out where I may want to change things for more efficient or standard use of Ace2.
