I realize authors have had months, if not longer, to get their mods moved to Ace3.
Much longer, actually. Ace3 has been around since late 2007, and stable versions suitable for widespread adoption have been around for well over two years now. There's not really any excuse for any developer to have been taken by surprise here.
... i like menus theyre the right choice sometimes, you cant popup a huge config window to chose an option all the time. some things just dont lend themselves to it.
The default dropdown menu system is super easy to use. You don't need Dewdrop or any other full-fledged dropdown UI library to implement simple popup menus. Xinhuan even wrote up a detailed how-to guide on these forums. :|
Well, in a way it will, since Dewdrop requires AceLibrary, so every addon still using Dewdrop is also pulling down Ace2 (the full package for nolib users), and most such addons are still running on the Ace2 framework as well.
