I agree with the no Compat views, to follow the MS example, the backwards compat broke a lot, is inefficient usually, and well plainly just blows. I know this is against the drama policy, to say that. But in most cases, it will only works partially (I was going to use decaprated or something but the word's not coming to mind decently). Also usually - it uses a good deal of resources more due to the "Compatibility layer".
And the frameworks? I don't care even if I have 10 on my machine, as long as they all work rather efficiently, do what they should do, and don't kill my resources. So far, I am using 2 or 3 frameworks at the same time, with no repercussion on resources. Makes me happy. Yes, it adds folders, but mostly nothing "extra" gets added, so I am ok with it.
