The only thing *I* would use the event-driven swapping for would be swapping in my mana regen set while eating/drinking and swapping back to whatever I was wearing previously when I stand up. However, I wear my mana regen stuff while summoning water so I wouldn't want it to swap while wearing that particular outfit. :P
I have no idea if Macromatic could handle that, if it's even possible, or how to set that up.
Learning to use ItemRack isn't as easy as it Wardrobe. However, once you do learn Gello's methods...it makes perfect sense. I find ItemRack incredibly more powerful than Wardrobe. No bugs that I'm aware of, it will swap trinkets in a set with a single click (that double swapping needed in Wardrobe is SO annoying), it's the ONLY wardrobe AddOn which can handle double items (ie I'm a mage and I have two Rings of Spellpower in my damage set and two Rings of Demonic Guile in my mana regen set). Not to mention I find it much more intuitive to set recognizable icons to my sets for fast swapping, just much easier for me than the drop down text menu of Wardrobe.
I will enjoy it even more when Gello adds event-driven gear swapping, but that's fluff. I have QuickMountEquip and EZDismount, all other events occur too infrequently for me to really worry about them not triggering an automated gear swap.
As a mage, I need to know when the cooldown is ready on my various spells (Blink, Evocation, Fireblast, Cone of Cold, Fire Ward, etc) and I find Blizzard's default cooldown indicator (that crappy little shaded clock animation) far too hard to see. ABInfo's nice, I particularly like that cool flash animation it does when the cooldown is finished, but I hate the tiny little text it uses at the top of the button when the cooldown is over a minute. Plus it doesn't work with AutoBar while CoolDownCount does. If I could have the flash animation of ABInfo, the text display of CoolDownCount, and the functionality of an Ace'd AddOn...that would be the perfect cooldown indicator for me.
