I did not see anyone else talk about this, but I am not going to go through 148 pages of posts.
Basically, whenever I log on, my keybinds do not work. I must go to Bartender config, and go to bar 2, then check the 'Enable' box, and then uncheck it again. Then all my keybinds work. Keep in mind, not all my keybinds are even on bar 2, but the ones that are not, still dont work until I check and uncheck the box.
So after I do that with Bar 2, all my keybinds work fine, until next time I log on. Then I have to do that again.
I am running version 4.3.3, which I'm pretty sure is the latest.
It can be dealt with, but it gets very annoying after a while.(NOTE: It didn't always do this, it just started randomly doing it one day)
While writing this, I found a somewhat fix. If I logout, with the bar enabled, when I log back in, my keybinds work. But then again, my bar is there. I want that bar disabled. It gets in the way of other things.
Maybe you have some other addon causing problems with libkeybound?
(ie have u tested with only bt4)
wanted to say thanks for bartender its awesome . now i like the fact the buttons switch for different specs ie dual talents,. However i got a friend after a way to stop any chngaes when switching specs. i guees this is down to profiles but wondred if you coudl help with what needs to be done to prevent changes ie keeping just one layout
just put the same spells/keybinds on both speccs...
What exactly do you mean? If I download this from Curse, how do I go about installing this into Bartender4? I'll need a little more instructions than just "make sure you have this installed."
Should I install LibKeyBoundExtra as it is, or do I need to integrate this into Bartender4 some how?
As it stands, applying any Keybinding to the Actionbars takes away from the Blizzard Vehicle UI. I'd like to find a solution to this problem, so that the actionbars and the vehicle UI have their own independant keybindings.
just install KBE the same way u do any addon.
The vehcle bar IS the actionbar afaik and can't have separate keybindings.
But binding spells directly in the spellbook lets u have the actionbar bindings different and still be able to use the skills.
what the game or bartender or whatever is doing right now is memorizing where certain spells were when i "unlearn" them by switching speccs and "learn" them again later.
but what i would like to happen when i switch speccs is to get a whole new bar. like when changing stances or entering a vehicle.
if that's already possible too than it doesn't work for me and i need some help to where i have to check/uncheck an option to make it work.
Pretty sure thats not possible, since the game changes the contents of bar# , not the number of the bar.
Sp bar1 in specc one has one content, when u change to specc2 bar1 is still bar1, but with different content.
The Vehicle Bar should show and have the exit button. At least i remember having it. But i'm a healer, and rarely on there.
Don't they knock you off when P3 is starting? :)
Im a healer to thats why i was wondering, for the "Denying the scion" it would be usefull to be able to dump the disc for someone else after getting mine.
Not sure if the button looks different on Vehicle Barcompared to the normal "posses" bar. (i only turned on Vehicle Bar after i did it in 10man , and couldn't see the exit button while on the drakes next atempt, but maybe its a diff icon?)
first off, many thanks to the author, long time user.
my question ( i have searched this thread, without much luck, maybe just bad keyword day )
i find myself in a situation where having a bar consist of upto 12 buttons is a bit cumbersome ( using a belkin nt52 controller with 15 buttons ), when setting up paging with druid forms. i'm just running out of bars, because i end up having to use 2 bars (1x10 and 1x5) for each form ( x3 forms ). if it were possible to extend a bar to have upto 15 buttons, this would essentially free up 3 bars in this configuration.
looking through the source luas, i see 12 defined as a constant in a lot of places, however i'm pretty sure there is more to this that just changing this constant in a few places... is it even possible to accomplish something like this ?
The bars is a hardcoded limitation within the game (10x12buttons) afaik.
Maybe you should look into binding some abilities directly in the spellbook?
And perhapps see if you really need to have all of them bound directly?
(15 abilities in each form sounds like a lot)
The previous Bartenders could do this, and the current does (until I get to a loading screen) by increasing the number of shown buttons, putting the skill there, then decreasing the buttons to 'hide' the skill(s) placed. It just gets unbound/referenced/called-by-the-ui/whatever when you go to a loading screen.
Unfortunetly, I can't do what you sujest--used to do that with discord way back in the day.
3 bars, each one is paged for stances. thats 9 bars, then theres the side bar for my clickable stuff (shouts, resurections, AoE taunt/fears, other misc things) thats all 10 bars being used. The only free buttons I have are the hidden ones on the first three bars.
It's really hard to find skillslots for my druid (normal, bear, cat, cat-prowl, moonkin/tree--atleast 13 bars if I had them maped out how I wanted, 10 doable for me as Feral)
Oh well, TY for the reply.
@everyone else: TY for the mods for helping stubborn people like me since beta :)
Afaik with the libKeybound (or is it from libkeyboundextra) you can just do the keybind directly in the spellbook without ever having to place it on a a bar in the first place.
Atlest i think its KB that does it, can't think of any other stuff in my UI that would be behind it.
