Through the use of the newish ability to set the spawn region through gamerules, i have set the spawn radius extremely high in hopes of having a pseudo rogue-like sort of experience, every time i die, i have to start over, but could come across my old structures if i happen across them, the problem that i have is that beds are fairly permanent spawn points, unlike respawn anchors which need to be recharged, while i can and do break the bed every time i use it, that is also fairly annoying, and a mod that depletes/destroys, or even prevents it from setting the spawn point entirely, would be helpful.. I use fabric mods, play on 1.16, and my searches have found that the Let Me Sleep mod for 1.12/1.14 has the function to prevent spawn set, but it isn't updated and is unknown whether it will be, and is also for forge, not fabric.
That was the goal, I also have already found an alternative mod that works for my purposes https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/no-sleep, while it isn't very popular it definitely blocks beds from being used, while also providing an overworld equivalent for the respawn anchor... In hindsight I have to wonder if the creator of that mod saw this message, because it was almost perfect for my stated goal, while it doesn't allow me to skip the night that is also something that I don't mind working with, as it adds risk for me to die, thus consuming charges of the respawn anchor it adds or causing a total restart if I haven't yet made the anchor.
So to summarize, Yes but I already found an acceptable alternative that was created a week or two after the original post was made
Ohhh right, sorry. I didn't realize you posted this last month. I was in the process of trying to make a mod for your request, but I'm glad you've found a mod that suits your needs. I'll probably still work on the mod just for personal experience, but if/when I finish it I'll let you know, just in case. My plan is to have the bed still let you sleep to skip the night, but not set your spawn location there.
